A homerecorded DIY mishmash of old tracks (recorded between 1999 and 2005), quiet songs, homerecorded weirdo pop instrumentals, noisy stuff, little redundant experiments, lo-fi nonsense, kitch, guitars, samples, electronica etc.: leftovers galore! A loose collection of B-sides without A-sides... 5 totally non-cohesive 4-track ep's thrown on one disc without much thinking or reason... that's 'a simple guide'! 5 cologne-based improv-musicians try to do the impossible: to let go ..! To forget about their 60s to 90s influences as independent music-addicts as they were and try to do their sound. Someone said "Modern Free-Jazz". Someone said "Soundtrack-Scores". Fact is: It`s totally improvised, uncensored, no overdubs. It's done directly on CD. So go ahead and just blow your cool!

According to the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia "modern numerology attaches a series of digits to an inquirer's name and uses these, along with the date of birth, to reveal the person's true nature and prospects (using a method analogous to that of the Greek and Hebrew alphabets in which each letter also represented a number)." It also says that "numerology is based on the assertion by Pythagoras that all things can be expressed in numerical terms, because they are ultimately...

Well, I was born in Orleans (the old one) in 1971, learned guitar at 15 but never was a hard worker, smoked at 17 and re-discovered the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix with my first psychedelic group: Wired. After we split, I made my own album where I could do whatever I want. This was Noises In My Head, recorded more than ten years ago. After two more bands were set up and split, I turned to the technical side of the music but I strongly think about making a second one.

The voice of HAPPY ELF makes every track complete and makes you wonder why only beautiful and crafted singers dominate the popmusic market. HAPPY ELF brings you...

Les Baudouins Morts existed between 1996 and 2000. They were a local cult band, with a strong following in the underground scene in and around the town of Leuven (Belgium). Their music, if that's what you want to call it, was just an excuse to promote radical leftwing protest, make sick jokes, criticize about everything and everyone walking the face of the planet and give everyone involved the opportunity to play his instrument to his own liking. The lyrics were always in Dutch, interlaced with...

YAWK! is a word that Vernon LeNoir likes to say, when something strange happens during production. It expresses the connection to the subconcious archetype Conrad Vitus Skopzik called "Archetype of Wonder". The manifestation of an entity as wonder doesn't come via a subjective view of life but as an objective expression of natures unbearable cry of flesh. The soul of berserk, that tries to hide under several layers of social and religious conventions of man has the power of...

'Play 2' is the second in a series of releases by Lee Rosevere that focus on experimental, ambient and imaginary soundtrack works. Some of these recordings have been played on internet radio in the past, but many of these recordings are being released for the first time, some recorded over 15 years ago.

"Spheriot is a one-man project - all the music comes from my heart and head and is produced in my livingroom and spare time! There has never been any kind of concept in the music - or any aim to sound like this or that. It just evolves from the songs I have always been writing on my guitar - and my roots as a "producer" in just playing around with my Mac a little. But somehow it developped to a kind of pop-music that I never expected it to be like - even if there is always one or...

Virtual Music for the virtual community: Die Fenster des Detlev Sierks. It’s about irony and affliction and convenient miracles leading to a happy ending. Mainly a saxophone concert, it is based on classical traditions and experiments with jazz and less popular music.

Happy Elf is the name of multi instrumentalist Jeroen Elfferich's soloproject. He has released 8 albums since 1999. The music of Happy Elf can be labeled as electro, but actually it is much more than that: itÂs pop music made with analogue synthesizers. First Contact is a 4 track cd which gives you an idea of Happy ElfÂs music. The tracks are from the earlier albums Bright Normal Deep and Bingo in the Country. Squeezing one out is as easy as one may think. You simply squeeze. The question remains, what exactly is being squeezed and out of what? The answer may very well lie somewhere on the second Rabbits album "Squeeze One Out".

Straight outta Toronto and into the hearts of bazillions, the RABBiTS third release on WM Recordings "That Cave Of Love Part 1" is of course, yet again, an auditory thrill ride that will take you right to that muscular organ which by repeated rhythmic contractions gives life to you, me and the third.

Over the past 10 years, Gorowski has released four albums on the renowned Dutch netlabel WM Recordings. His music is described as “electronically diverse” and has been used in compilations and videos, including an independent film that was shortlisted for an award (“Petzold’s Whistle”). He has received a number of positive reviews from bloggers, and in 2007 one of his albums was voted into the Top 5 Netlabel Releases for that year by Phlow Magazine. This new release is a little...

Nambavan lives in the Russian republic of Tatarstan. He began composing music on his first pc in 2000, got expelled from guitar lessons for not remembering the songs a few years later. Nowadays he works with his pc, a $80 guitar and a Casio keyboard. His musical diet consists of Blondie, the Sex Pistols, Cerrone, Sonic Youth, Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, Madonna, Supermax, and the Bee Gees. This 4-track ep is the result.

Panicphobia are a rock-quintet from Aarhus, Denmark. They play what they like to call "playful rock", which is a mix between progressive and alternative. The music has not been “written” in the more traditional sense, but is sort of collectively composed. Emerging musical ideas have been added a healthy mix of theory combined with observations and intuition along with musical experiments or improvisations.

Ever since René Vis [1959] heard music, deep in his heart he wanted to make it. But for many years severe bashfullness held him back. When he was about twenty he played around with a Korg MS20 and began to write songs. Except for some lo-fi tapes made at home, nothing else happened. When he was 35 René learned the basic chords on guitar, bought a second hand Yamaha QY20 and more songs were made. Still mostly unheard by others. Then he bought a pc and went on the Internet. And this is where...
